Raipur. There is good news for the youth of Chhattisgarh who want to prepare for the Civil Services Examination of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) by staying in Delhi. On the instructions of Chief Minister Vishnudev Saiji, the Finance Department has approved the proposal to increase 135 seats in Tribal Youth Hostel under Yuva Utthan Yojana.
Under Yuva Utthan Yojana, talented youth of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes of Chhattisgarh state are given the facility of free UPSC coaching while staying in Delhi. The government also bears the expenses of accommodation, food and education of the youth. Earlier, 50 new and 15 repeater batches were getting this facility in Tribal Youth Hostel. Now after the increase of 135 seats in this scheme, a total of 200 youth will get residential facility.
Apart from Tribal Youth Hostel, candidates will also be able to make residential arrangements near the coaching institutes as per their wish. The coaching fee is fixed at Rs 2 lakh for English medium and Rs 1.5 lakh for Hindi medium. Along with this, assistance of Rs 12,000 per month per student will be given for accommodation, mess and other facilities.
At present residential facility was available for maximum 65 candidates in Tribal Youth Hostel. Now with this initiative the youth of Chhattisgarh will be able to become more capable in preparing for the Civil Services Examination.
