Raipur. The Finance Department has approved the proposal to increase the maximum income limit of dependents of government servants. Now, approval has been given to increase the maximum limit of income for the dependents of government servants from Rs 3,500 per month to Rs 7,750 per month.
It is noteworthy that since 2014, there was no increase in the maximum limit of income for the dependents of government servants, whereas the income of workers in the state is continuously increasing. The daily wage rate for semi-skilled workers has now reached Rs 10,900 per month. In such a situation, the dependent members of government servants were earning more than Rs 3,500 per month and were not getting the benefit of family pension. Now, with the increase in the income limit, all those dependents whose income was more than Rs 3,050 will be eligible to get the benefit of family pension.
With this step, the condition of dependents of government servants will improve and economic-social security will also be ensured. This will provide relief to those families who depend on family pension after the death of a government servant. With this increase in the income limit, they will also now get the benefit of family pension.
