Fire breaks out at Kashmiri Gate metro station, no casualties

New Delhi: A fire broke out at the Kashmere Gate metro station in north Delhi late last night, officials said on Saturday. A Delhi Fire Service official said a call was received about the fire at around 12:45 am following which 12 fire tenders were rushed to the spot.

There was no loss of life in the incident, but a part of the police station was damaged in the fire, including the maalkhaana where material related to cases is kept. The fire was brought under control in about one and a half hours, the official said.
