Madhya Pradesh: A major accident took place during the torch procession at Ghantaghar Chowk in Kekhandwa on Thursday night. Here the fire broke out due to oil spilling on the torch. More than 50 people got burnt in this accident, out of which the condition of 12 people is said to be critical. At present the injured have been admitted to the district hospital for treatment.
There was chaos due to fire outbreak

The people injured in this incident were brought to the district hospital. As soon as the information was received, police and administration officials reached the district hospital.

Khandwa SP Manoj Rai told that there was a tribute program. When the program was coming to an end at the clock tower, some of the torch fell while placing it, due to which the sawdust and oil in it ignited the surrounding torches. In this accident, people standing there in a circle got burnt. Women and children are also included in this. People’s faces and hands are burnt. 30 people were brought to the district hospital, out of which 12 people have been admitted. The rest have been sent home after first aid.
