Raipur: The main event of Ganesh tableau exhibition immersion procession in Raipur city is proposed to be held on 19.09.2024 at night. During the procession program, Ganesh idols are immersed with joy by the organizers along with attractive tableaux. Lakhs of people from Raipur city and nearby villages gather to see the procession.
On 19.09.2024, from the evening, Ganesh idols and tableaux will start gathering at Rathore Chowk from various areas of the city, which will pass through Naveen Market/Gurunanak Chowk-Sharda Chowk-Jaistambh Chowk-Malviya Road-Chikni Mandir-Kotwali Chowk-Sadar Bazaar-Saddani Chowk – Satti Bazaar-Kankali Talab- in front of Purani Basti Police Station, Lakhenagar Chowk- Sundarnagar-Raipura Chowk and the Ganesh idols will be immersed in Mahadev Ghat, Kharun River.
Return route after Ganesh immersion:-
1. After immersion of Ganesh idols from Mahadev Ghat immersion site, the return of vehicles will be from Mahadev Ghat Tiraha via Anicut Road – Bhatagaon- Bhatagaon Chowk-Ring Road-01. From 19.09.2024 to 20.09.2024, during the Ganesh immersion program, the movement of all types of goods carrying vehicles will be stopped from Raipura Chowk to Mahadev Ghat Amleshvar River Bridge, those who have to travel from Amleshvar to Raipur can travel via Amleshvar-Kumhari-Tatibandh or Khudmuda-Bhatagaon- Bhatagaon Chowk.
Entry and movement of medium and heavy goods vehicles will be restricted in the city during the tableau display – In order to ensure the safety of the public presence and smooth traffic during the main Ganesh immersion procession on 19.09.2024, the movement and parking of all types of goods vehicles will be completely prohibited on the procession route.
In order to run the procession smoothly, entry of all types of heavy / medium goods vehicles coming towards the city from the following points will be completely banned from 19.09.2024 to 20.09.2024 (end of the procession):-
1. Tatibadh Chowk 2. Bhanpuri Tiraha 3. Raipura Chowk 4. Pachpedhi Naka Chowk 5. Santoshi Nagar Chowk 6. Mahasamund Barrier 7. Vidhan Sabha Road VIP Tiraha 8. Kanshiram Nagar Chowk 9. Bhatagaon Chowk 10. All entry routes towards the city from Ring Road 01 11. All entry routes towards the city from Ring Road 02 Diversion arrangement during Chal Mahotsav –
For smooth traffic movement during Ganesh Visarjan procession on 19.09.2024, traffic will be diverted as follows –
1. Vehicles travelling from Balodabazar Road towards Bilaspur or Mahasamund will be able to travel via Ring Road-03.
2. All small vehicles coming from Bhilai side like cars and jeeps will be able to come only till Ashram Tiraha, but the drivers who want to come towards Shastri Chowk can travel through Ring Road 01 via Raipura Chowk, Pachpedi Naka.
3. Cars, jeeps and small vehicles coming from Dhamtari route will be able to travel via Kalibari Chowk, Mahila Thana Chowk, Shastri Chowk to the railway station or Bilaspur route.
4. Movement of all types of vehicles from Shastri Chowk towards Jayastambh Chowk, Tatyapara Chowk to Sharda Chowk, Maudhapara to Jayastambh Chowk and Malviya Road and Kalibari Chowk to Kotwali Chowk, Fire Brigade Chowk to Kotwali Chowk will be prohibited from 08:00 pm.
5. Movement of all types of vehicles will be prohibited from 10:00 pm onwards from Sadar Bazar, Satti Bazar Chowk to Amin Para Chowk (Purani Basti Police Station), Purani Basti Road, Ashram Tiraha to Lakhenagar Chowk, Aamapara Tiraha to Lakhenagar Chowk. Parking arrangement:-
Parking arrangements for the vehicles of those coming to see the Ganesh Visarjan procession have been made as follows:-
1. Vehicles coming from Civil Line, Baron Bazar, Katora Talab, Shanti Nagar, Shankar Nagar and Telibandha can park their vehicles at the Multi-Level Parking, Collectorate Complex, Shastri Bazar Parking, Parking area in front of Subhash Stadium and Goss Memorial Ground.
2. For vehicles coming from Science College, Chaubey Colony, Aamapara, Lakhenagar, parking can be done at Hind Sporting Ground near Azad Chowk, Tatyapara, Lakhenagar Chowk.
3. For vehicles coming towards Tikrapara, you can park your vehicles at Gandhi Maidan near Budheshwar Chowk and Outdoor Stadium Ground adjacent to Shyam Talkies.
4. Vehicles coming from Railway Station, Fafadeep Chowk, Devendra Nagar can park their vehicles near MG Road, Lane No. 01, 02, 03, 04, Sindhi Bazaar.
5. Vehicles coming from Pandri Rajatalab, Mowa can park near the multi-level parking near the Collectorate complex and Shaheed Memorial Bhawan. Appeal- Visitors/drivers are appealed to park their vehicles according to the above arrangement and not to take the vehicle on the prohibited route, cooperate in the arrangement by parking the vehicle at the designated place.
