Balod, The police have arrested the criminals who gang-raped a girl in Balod district of Chhattisgarh. In the case, the police searched about 150 CCTV footage from the incident spot to 8 places, after which they got success. This matter is of Gunderdehi police station area.
The victim lodged a report of gang rape with her at Gunderdehi police station on January 15. On which the police registered a crime under sections 363, 376, (2)(A), 376 (D), 294, 506, 323 and started investigating the case. In this case, the police formed 3 teams.
In the CCTV footage of the incident site and nearby areas of the team formed in the case, accused Rahul Dewar and Bablu Dewar were seen buying some items at a textile shop. Investigation was done on the basis of the footage received and then information was received from the informer that one of the accused, Bablu Dewar, was hiding in a hotel at Gunderdehi bus stand due to fear of arrest after seeing the police. Who was immediately surrounded and caught. During interrogation, the accused admitted to carrying out the incident along with his associates Rahul Dewar and Vikram Dewar. After the incident, the accused Rahul Dewar and Vikram Dewar had absconded. Cyber cell, which was searching for the accused, found the location at Chilahati village, Mohla Manpur district. On which the police laid siege and arrived to arrest the accused, but after receiving information about the arrival of the police, they fled leaving the scooter used in the incident.
On the basis of CCTV footage between Rajnandgaon and Kawardha and technical assistance received from Cyber Cell Balod, it was revealed that the accused Vikram Dewar was hiding in the house of one of his relatives in Kawardha, who was caught after a siege. Also, the team headed towards Nagpur and after finding the location of accused Rahul Dewar in Nagpur (Maharashtra), he was caught in a siege from Nagpur. After identification of the three accused in the case, they were sent on judicial remand.
