Mumbai: After several days of weakness, the domestic stock market saw greenery on Friday morning. After the market opened on the last trading day of the week, at 9:28 am, the Sensex was trading at 80,234.64 after gaining 218.08 (0.27%) points.
On the other hand, Nifty strengthened by 77.41 (0.32%) points to reach 24,483.50. In early trade, Adani Energy shares saw a gain of three percent. While Tech Mahindra shares fell by four percent.
During Friday’s trading session, IT and energy sector stocks were seen strong. Among the Sensex stocks, Bharti Airtel, Kotak Bank, Tata Steel, TCS, SBI and Infosys were the top gainers. On the other hand, Tech Mahindra, Nestle, Maruti, HDFC Bank, Nestle and Axis Bank were seen trading with a decline.
