Arvind Mishra, Balodabazar. A case of cheating unemployed youth of lakhs in the name of providing jobs has come to light in the district. Here, a teacher has looted the unemployed youth in the name of getting them jobs by telling them about his reach and acquaintanceship in the ministry. Now, after a year has passed, the youth who became a victim of fraud after not getting a job, has appealed to the Collector and SP for help. The victims reached Kotwali police station last night and lodged an FIR.

According to the information, Shantanu Bhardwaj, a teacher posted in Katgi, has extorted money from a large number of youth in village Madwa in the name of providing them jobs and after not receiving the money till date, the cheated youth have now approached the police. Initially, these youth were taken to some police stations of the area in the name of filing reports, but when the matter reached the Collector and SP, a case was registered in the Kotwali police station last night. At present, the number of youths who became victims of fraud is said to be eight to ten. Their number may increase further.

Giving information about the case, DSP Nidhi Nag said that some youth have complained about Katgi teacher Shantanu Bhardwaj cheating in the name of getting a job. Investigation is being done whenever the matter comes. At present a case has been registered in Kotwali police station.
