Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal has taken a big action against corruption. Dean-Superintendent of SIMS has been suspended for Ayushman Card scam and not giving details of income and expenditure.

Bilaspur. Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal has taken strict action against the chaos and corruption in SIMS. The minister, who came to attend the meeting of the autonomous committee of SIMS, asked for complete information about the financial transactions of Ayushman card. On this, the superintendent appeared with incomplete documents. At the same time, he could not give information about the purchases made in the last 3 years. The minister got angry at this and he said to suspend the superintendent and the dean in the meeting itself. Financial irregularities have reached the peak in many cases like purchase of bed sheets, financial withdrawal, financial inflow and outflow of Ayushman card, recruitment of non-para medical staff, recruitment of Ayushman Mitra, payment of Ayushman amount to non-para medical staff in SIMS.
On Monday, a meeting of SIMS autonomous committee was held in SIMS Medical College. Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal attended the meeting held at 2.30 pm. Earlier, CS and CME meetings had been held. In the meeting, Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal sought details of purchase, sale and payment of 3 years from SIMS management and directed the officials to investigate it. During this, Dean Dr. Kamal Kishore Sahare was absent from the meeting, while in his place Superintendent Dr. Sujit Nayak gave information, many questions were asked by the minister, which Dr. Nayak could not answer, after which the minister gave verbal orders to the officials to suspend SIMS Dean Dr. Kamal Kishore Sahare and Superintendent Dr. Sujit Nayak. He immediately suspended both the officials and directed the Commissioner of Medical Education to investigate them.

Discussion on Dean’s disappearance is in full swing
Information about the meeting of Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal was received two days in advance. Despite this, the absence of SIMS Dean Dr. KK Sahare during the entire meeting has become a topic of discussion. Other officials were also not aware of the Dean’s absence from the college.
Bought bedsheet for one and a half crore rupees
Minister Shri Jaiswal said that it has been learnt that the SIMS management has bought only bed sheets with an amount of 1.5 crores. About 1500 bed sheets have been bought, the cost of which is said to be 10 thousand rupees, this is a case of gross financial irregularity. In such a situation, it is not possible to conduct the investigation with complete impartiality while both the officers are in office, so the officers have been removed. He said that action will be taken against the officers as per administrative rules. FIR will be lodged after the investigation is completed. He said that the order for posting of the new Dean and Superintendent will be issued by the department.
IAS level officers will investigate
IAS level officers can investigate the irregularities in SIMS. Minister Shri Jaiswal has hinted at this during the discussion with the media after the meeting. He said that the Dean and Superintendent have been suspended. The investigation can be done by an IAS officer. He said that after the meeting, no bigger action could have been taken against SIMS management. The documents of purchases and payments of the last 3 years will be examined by the officers. If any irregularity is found in this, an FIR will be lodged.
