Hindu side files reply on petition for survey of Gyanvapi complex, next hearing on October 16

The Uncut

Varanasi. On Thursday, the lawyers of the Hindu side filed their reply on the petition regarding ordering a survey of the premises of Gyanvapi Mosque in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), after which the next hearing of the case was fixed for October 16. Went.

Hindu side’s lawyer Madan Mohan Yadav said that in his plea before Civil Judge (Senior Division) Yugul Shambhu, he said that the survey done by ASI in Gyanvapi complex is incomplete and ASI cannot give a correct report without excavation, hence ASI should be sent to Gyanvapi. An order should be given to excavate and survey the entire Gyanvapi complex.
Earlier, on October 8, the Anjuman Arrangement Committee had presented its arguments on the petition.

The lawyers of the committee had said that when the Hindu side has appealed to raise the matter in the Allahabad High Court and the Supreme Court, then there is no justification for arguing the matter in the subordinate court. The lawyers of the Muslim side had also argued that when the ASI survey of Gyanvapi complex has already been done once, then there is no justification for conducting another survey. The Muslim side had argued that digging a pit in the mosque premises for survey would not be practical in any way and it could cause damage to the mosque.
