I have ended the ‘old work culture’ of previous governments: Prime Minister Modi

Modi said, “Due to the increasing population, the pace of the city should not slow down but its capacity should increase.” This is possible only if public transport is modernized and connectivity is improved. “This is the vision of the Mahayuti government (in Maharashtra).” He said that the work of meeting the modern needs of Pune should have started long ago. The Prime Minister said, “Unfortunately, earlier there was a lack of vision and planning for urban development. The country and the state suffered losses due to the old work culture of procrastination. The Pune Metro project was conceptualized in 2008, but we laid its foundation in 2016 and now it is expanding.” He said that the previous government could not erect even a single pillar of the metro project in eight years.
