Jammu and Kashmir remains a tragedy for national security under Modi government: Kharge

The Uncut

New Delhi. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Monday condemned the terror attack on soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir and alleged that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government has been creating a national security crisis in the Union Territory.
Kharge posted on Twitter, “Deeply saddened by the martyrdom of our four brave soldiers in the terrorist attack in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir. 6 soldiers are also injured. We strongly condemn this cowardly terrorist attack on the army.” He said that this is the fifth terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir in a month.

The Congress president said, “Our deepest condolences go out to the families of the jawans. We salute the courage and valour of our brave soldiers. Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured and we wish them a speedy recovery.” He claimed, “The security situation in Jammu and Kashmir is on the decline. No amount of whitewashing, false claims, empty boasting and chest-beating can erase the fact that the Modi government has committed a tragedy for national security in Jammu and Kashmir.” Kharge said that when “PR” becomes the sole objective, security intelligence gathering through the governance machinery becomes a disaster.

She said, “Our resolve to stand with the country against terrorism is strong.” Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra posted on Twitter, “The news of the martyrdom of four brave soldiers and injuries to many soldiers in the cowardly terrorist attack in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir is extremely sad. May God give peace to the departed souls. The country will always be indebted to the martyrs for this supreme sacrifice. I pray to God for the bereaved families and the injured soldiers.” She said, “The entire country is united against violence and terrorism and strongly condemns this anti-humanity act in one voice.”
