Jharkhand Assembly Elections: More than 900 voters above 100 years of age on 43 seats in the first phase

Ranchi: Under the first phase of Jharkhand Assembly elections, there are more than 900 voters who are above 100 years of age and these include 533 women in the voting on 43 seats on November 13. An officer gave this information.

Jharkhand Assembly elections will be held in two phases on November 13 and November 20, while the results will be declared on November 23. “A total of 995 voters above 100 years of age are eligible to vote in the first phase of assembly elections to be held in the state on November 13, which includes 462 male and 533 female voters,” the official said on Friday.

According to the voter list, there are a total of 2.60 crore voters in Jharkhand, out of which 1.13 lakh voters are senior citizens above 85 years of age. The process of filing nomination papers for the first phase of elections in Jharkhand will begin from Friday and will continue till October 25.

A total of 2.60 crore voters are eligible to exercise their franchise in the Jharkhand Assembly elections, out of which 11.84 lakh voters will cast their vote for the first time.
