Jr NTR’s ‘Devra’ will release on September 27, Alia Bhatt’s ‘Jigra’ will now release on October 11

Mumbai. The release of Alia Bhatt’s upcoming film “Jigra” has been postponed and will now hit the theatres on October 11, while Telugu superstar Jr NTR’s film “Devra” has been rescheduled to September 27. Alia Bhatt’s debut film with filmmaker Vasana Bala, “Jigra”, was earlier scheduled to release on September 27, while Koratala Siva’s “Devra” was scheduled to hit the theatres on October 10.

A high-paced film shot in lesser-known coastal areas of India, “Devra” is a two-part epic by filmmaker Koratala Siva that will be full of drama. The first part of the film, “Devra: Part 1”, also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. The official page of “Devra” on social media platform X shared the new release date of the film. It said, “A warning notice is being issued for its imminent arrival on all the coasts. People’s person Tarak 9999 Devra from September 27 in cinemas (halls).” The film is produced by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts and presented by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram.

Following this, Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions took to its social media handles on Thursday evening to share the new release date of “Jigra”, which is Alia’s first film with filmmaker Vasan Bala. The banner posted on Instagram, “A fierce journey to protect your own… your Jigra. Starring Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina – Jigra is coming to theaters on October 11, 2024.” Starring “The Archies” actor Vedang Raina, “Jigra” is also backed by Bhatt’s Eternal Sunshine Production. The upcoming project has Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Bhatt and Somen Mishra credited as producers.
