Kanker. Four Naxalites including two women Naxalites surrendered before security forces in Chhattisgarh’s Naxal-affected Kanker district. Police officials gave this information on Thursday. Police officials said that four Naxalites Surjanna alias Sitay Korram (28), Naresh alias Lakku Punem (26), Sagar alias Ganga Diddo (25) and Anju alias Sarita Shori (26) have surrendered before security forces.

He said that there is a reward of Rs 5 lakh each on Naxalites Surjanna and Naresh and Rs 1 lakh each on Sagar and Anju.
Officials said that the Naxalites, influenced by the rehabilitation policy of the state government and fed up with the hollow ideology, exploitation and violence of the Naxalites, decided to surrender.

He said that Surjanna is accused of being involved in the attack on the police team in the Dhaurai police station area of ​​Narayanpur district in 2010. 27 soldiers were martyred in this incident. The officials have accused other Naxalites of being involved in the attack on the police team, landmine explosion and killing of civilians. He said that on surrendering, the Naxalites have been given an incentive amount of Rs 25,000 each and they will be helped under the rehabilitation policy of the state government.
