Karnataka Governor appeals to the young generation to preserve religion and culture

Bangalore. Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot on Friday stressed the importance of non-violence in Jain philosophy and appealed to the younger generation to adopt and preserve the religion and culture. He was speaking after releasing a book titled ‘Jain Purana Part-3 Acharya Charitra’ at a function organised by the All India Jain Forum here.

Gehlot stressed the importance of religious literature in transferring religion, culture, customs and traditions from generation to generation.
He highlighted the importance of religion in keeping society organised and its religious, social and spiritual impact on people.
He stressed the importance of non-violence as inculcated in Jain philosophy and appealed to the younger generation to adopt and preserve the religion and culture. The Governor described the book ‘Jain Purana Part-III’ as useful for all and appreciated the social, religious, cultural, ethical and charitable work done by the Bengaluru-based ‘All India Jain Forum’.
