The Uncut

Kawardha: On Friday, in the local social media of Kabirdham district, a video and news like “Children are studying with umbrellas to avoid water dripping from the school roof” was going viral rapidly in reference to the school operating in village Pandaria of Bodla development block of the district.

Collector Janmejay Mahobe took immediate cognizance to check the veracity of this news and video and directed the District Education Officer, Bodla SDM to submit the investigation report. The investigation was conducted by Bodla SDM and District Education Officer. The truth has come out in the investigation.

In the investigation report it was told that for the last three days it has been raining heavily in the forest area and water is leaking from the roof in one of the classrooms due to which a holiday has been declared in Pandaria school and only mid day meal is being served. Children of the village come to have lunch at the scheduled time. The school teacher informed the principal that due to heavy rains water is leaking from the roof in one of the classrooms. It is not appropriate to conduct classes here till the weather becomes normal. Instead, classes can be conducted in the additional rooms built in the school premises.

The head teacher called the village Panch-Sarpanch and other members of the village and got the extra class inspected. It was raining at that time too, as some children had stayed back at the school after having their mid-day meal. During the inspection, an unknown person made a video of the children holding a hive and it was made viral.
