Landmine explosion in Chhattisgarh, two ITBP soldiers injured

Narayanpur: Naxalites on Saturday blasted a landmine in Naxal-affected Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh, injuring two Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel. Police officials gave this information.

Officials said that ITBP personnel were sent for anti-Naxal operation in the district and when they were returning from the operation, Naxalites blasted a landmine near Mohandi village in Abujhmad area.

He told that two soldiers have been injured in this incident and they are being taken out of the forest area. ITBP personnel have been deployed in Naxal affected areas of the state. On the 4th of this month, 38 Naxalites were killed in an encounter by security forces in Abujhmad area on the border of Naxal-affected Dantewada-Narayanpur district of the state.
