Lok Sabha Election 2024: Samosa seller filed nomination in Chhattisgarh

Sudhir Sahu, Raipur. The process of nomination for the second phase of Lok Sabha elections has started. Ajay Pali, a samosa seller from Kawardha, has bought the nomination form for Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha seat. He says that if he wins the elections, he will first make efforts for rail facilities in Kawardha district. Apart from this, we will take the public issues to the Parliament.

Ajay Pali told that being upset with the promises of the leaders, he has jumped into the electoral battle. He has also said that he will give tough competition to all the candidates. At the same time, instead of contesting elections with huge expenses and posters, he has talked about going door-to-door and asking for votes.

Pali told that he works by selling samosas, which helps his family to survive. He will go among the public on the issue of Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha constituency.

Congress won the elections 9 times and BJP candidates won 8 times.

Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha seat came into existence in the year 1957. In the elections held here for the first time, Congress candidate Raja Virendra Bahadur Singh of Khairagarh princely state was elected MP. In the 17 elections held since 1957, Congress has won this seat nine times, Janata Party and BJP eight times. After moving away from the royal family here, Congress has not been able to make a comeback after 1999. This time BJP has fielded MP Santosh Pandey while Congress has fielded former CM Bhupesh Baghel.
