With the declaration of names of 1 candidate in the second list and 4 candidates in the third list, Congress candidates are now in the fray on all 11 seats. Congress has fielded 3 MLAs including 1 sitting MP and 3 former MLAs. At the same time, the candidate who lost the Lok Sabha in 2019 has also been given a second chance. The party has given a chance to new faces on only 3 seats.

The most special thing in Congress is that there are 4 candidates from the same district. Among these, there are three candidates whom the party is contesting by sending them outside their home region. This experiment within the party has happened in this way – Bhupesh Baghel, MLA from Patan assembly of Durg district, has been made candidate from Rajnandgaon, Tamradhwaj Sahu, MLA from Durg Rural, has been made candidate from Mahasamund and Devendra Yadav, MLA from Bhilai Nagar, has been made candidate from Bilaspur.
