Jabalpur: Madhya Pradesh High Court has ordered re-postmortem of a man’s body after his family members raised suspicion of murder. In an order passed on Friday, the High Court ordered the Balaghat police to conduct re-postmortem of the man’s body. In September this year, the body was found hanging in Loharidih village of Kabirdham district of Chhattisgarh and was later buried.
“The investigating officer concerned in the case will go to the burial site and take out the body in the presence of the appellants,” the court said in its order. After this, post-mortem will be conducted again and the report in this regard will be recorded on record.
High Court Chief Justice S.K. A division bench of Justice Kait and Justice Vivek Jain disposed of the appeal with this direction. Appellant’s lawyer Shashank Shekhar said that deceased Shiv Prasad Sahu’s minor daughter Laleshwari Sahu and mother-in-law Ramoutin Bai had filed this appeal challenging the order of the single judge bench of October 4. The bench rejected the petition regarding re-postmortem of the body. Had done.
The lawyer said that the family members suspect that Shiv Prasad Sahu has been murdered and a second post-mortem should be conducted to know the truth. He said that on September 15 this year, Sahu’s body was found hanging in the forest area near Bijatola village of Railwahi in Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh.
