Mumbai: Congress party has released the second list of 23 candidates. After solving the intricacies of seat distribution in the assembly elections, Congress released the second list on Saturday morning. Earlier the party had listed 65 candidates. This second list exclusively contains seats from Vidarbha region. Congress’s position is strong in Vidarbha and the party’s state president Nana Patole also comes from this region. In this second list, names of three candidates have been announced from Nagpur district. Only four days are left to fill the application form. Due to late release of list, candidates will get very less time for preparation.

Nagpur South constituency has finally gone to Congress. Congress has declared Girish Pandav as its candidate from South Nagpur seat. In South Nagpur, BJP candidate MLA Mohan Mate will face Congress candidate Girish Pandav. There was a lot of controversy within the alliance regarding this seat. At present Shiv Sena Thackeray group’s MLA is from here. Congress has announced the candidature of Suresh Bhoyar from Kamathi constituency. There will be a contest between BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule and Congress’s Suresh Bhoyer in Kamthi constituency. The entire state will keep an eye on this fight.

Anuja Kedar, wife of Congress leader Sunil Kedar, has been declared the authorized candidate from Savner assembly constituency. Sunil Kedar’s MLA candidature has been canceled due to his conviction in the Nagpur District Central Bank scam case and his wife Anuja Kedar will be in the fray. Sunil Kedar cannot contest the next elections.

Three seats of Mumbai also announced
Three seats of Nagpur and Mumbai have also been included in the second list of Congress. Congress party has declared Ganesh Yadav from Sion Koliwada, Yashwant Singh from Charkop and Kalu Badheliya from Kandivali East. Shivajirao Moghe’s daughter Vasant Purke has another chance. Whereas Congress has given ticket to Sudhakar Gangane’s daughter and daughter of senior leader former minister Shivajirao Moghe. Also, Congress has again made former minister Vasant Purke its candidate.
