Maharashtra: BJP leader Rajan Teli leaves the party, joins Shiv Sena…

The Uncut

Mumbai: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader in Maharashtra’s coastal Sindhudurg district Rajan Teli has resigned from the primary membership of the party and plans to join the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UTB).

Teli was BJP’s in-charge for Sawantwadi assembly constituency. Teli claimed that he worked hard for the BJP in the last 10 years, but he is facing problems after Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg Lok Sabha MP and former Union Minister Narayan Rane and his family joined the party.

Referring to reports about the possibility of Rane’s son Nilesh joining the Eknath Nishde-led Shiv Sena to contest the assembly elections, Teli said he was in favor of giving a chance to members of the same family to represent the Lok Sabha and assembly constituencies. Are against.

Rane’s younger son Nitesh is the MLA from Kankavali in Sindhudurg district and is likely to get the ticket from there. However, according to reports, Nilesh will be fielded from the seat held by Shiv Sena. Of the total 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra, 75 are in the Konkan region, including 36 seats in Mumbai.
Teli was earlier part of the undivided Shiv Sena.
