From showing Uttar Pradesh, the state with the highest number of Lok Sabha seats in the country, as a violent state to now presenting it as a fear-free state, OTT platform Amazon Prime Video, which broadcasts the web series ‘Mirzapur’, and the company that produces it, Excel Entertainment, have done a headstand.

Aparna Purohit, who was the head of the Indian branch of Prime Video, has been fired. It is said that there is a lot of upheaval going on within Excel Entertainment these days. The result is in the form of season three of the web series ‘Mirzapur’. Who would have thought that a ‘Bhaukaal’ series would end like this. Yes, after seeing this season, it does not seem that this story will get a fourth season.

Farhan is kind to female characters
The story of the third season of the web series ‘Mirzapur’ has disappointed the fans of its previous two seasons the most. Farhan Akhtar, along with becoming a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, seems to have been greatly influenced by its head Kevin Feige’s sympathy towards female characters in recent years.
This time, the third season of the web series ‘Mirzapur’ has also been named after the female characters of the series. Madhuri Yadav, who became the Chief Minister, may have come again in a white saree, but now she has a new attitude with the slogan of making Uttar Pradesh a fear-free state and to keep fighting against every oppression. Let us tell you here that the third season of the series starts with the last rites of Munna Bhaiya and the direction of the third season of the series is determined by the incident of cremating him.

Technically, the third season of the web series ‘Mirzapur’ is very weak. After watching the series, it seems that Excel Entertainment has cut down its production budget drastically and has put its popularity and reputation of the last two seasons at stake to increase its margin. From the cinematography to its editing and stunt choreography, everything in this season, which followed the path of ending the throne, looked like a small budget regional film.

The ambiguity of the dialogues also shows that its sound designing is faulty. When the first season of the web series ‘Mirzapur’ came in 2018, it became the origin of crime series. The second season also came in 2020. By then all the OTTs were milking the crime series and now when the year 2024 has come and the OTT bubble seems to be bursting, the third season of the web series ‘Mirzapur’ has lost its own charm.

This story, spread over a total of 10 episodes, requires a lot of time, courage and patience to watch it till the end. This is a big disappointment for the viewers who enjoyed watching its last two seasons.
