Mysuru: The opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Karnataka on Wednesday protested demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who appeared before the Lokayukta police in response to summons issued for questioning in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site allotment case. Happened.

Expressing doubts over the manner of Lokayukta investigation, Srivatsa demanded that the case should be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The protesters held placards in their hands raising slogans against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and the Congress government. He alleged that the police were not allowing him to protest. Later the police loaded the protesters into vehicles and removed them from there.

The Chief Minister, named as accused number one in the FIR registered by the Lokayukta police, was arrested by the MUDA along with his wife Parvati B. Aam is facing allegations of irregularities in the allotment of 14 sites.
On October 25, Lokayukta police had interrogated his wife, who has been made accused number two.

Siddaramaiah, his wife, his brothers-in-law Mallikarjuna Swamy and Devaraju (from whom Swamy had bought the land and gifted it to Parvati) and others are named in the FIR lodged by the Mysore-based Lokayukta police on September 27. Swamy and Devaraju have already appeared before the Lokayukta police.
