Emphasizing the role of youth in realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of a developed India by 2047, Union Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Wednesday said that the My-Bharat platform will reflect the hope, aspiration and contribution of youth in nation building. Is the medium. Mandaviya said this while addressing the ‘Mati Ke Veer Padyatra’ ceremony in Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh. This program was organized under Tribal Pride Day in view of the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda on 15th November.
Mandaviya said, “This padyatra program has been organized by My-Bharat volunteers from 150 colleges to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda on 15th November. This program has been completely organized by the youth.” He said, “With the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, My-Bharat platform was started with the aim of involving the youth in nation building. “So far, about 1.50 crore youth have registered on this platform.”
Mandaviya said, “My-Bharat will become a single window system, where the youth will be able to contribute to building a developed India through this platform to fulfill their aspirations.” He said, “The youth have to do their best in whatever field they are interested in, be it sports or art and culture. The youth have to live for the country, they have to become partners in the building of the country. We have to cooperate in realizing the dream of a developed India.” Recalling the contribution of the youth during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Union Minister said that the youth have made an unforgettable contribution in providing food, medicine, masks to the needy and vaccination without worrying about their lives. Our culture is to serve. We have to discharge our duty towards the nation.
During the program, Mandaviya announced the construction of a stadium with all facilities to expand sports facilities in Jashpur. He said that when the 2036 Olympic Games will be organized in India and a player from Chhattisgarh will play in it, we will feel proud. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, who was presiding over the program, said that the glorification of tribal culture is the glorification of Sanatan culture. Tribal culture is the basic origin of Sanatan culture. Whenever culture has been attacked, the tribes have retaliated. It has always been a culture of peace and harmony.
He said that the contribution of tribes in the freedom struggle is incomparable. Lord Birsa Munda, Martyr Veer Narayan Singh, Veer Gundadhur are symbols of tribal struggle. Sai said that there was a time when the tribal society was a developed society but during the period of slavery it lagged behind and became a victim of atrocities and exploitation. Now this society is again moving towards achieving its glory. After the ceremony, ‘Mati ke Veer’ padayatra was taken out from Bala Chhapar village. The padyatra covered a distance of eight kilometers and ended at Ranjita Stadium here. Mandaviya, Sai and state ministers took part in the foot march in which around 10 thousand volunteers of My Yuva Bharat participated.

Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Wednesday announced the construction of a state-of-the-art sports stadium here as the country hopes to host the 2036 Olympics. India has submitted a ‘letter of intent’ expressing its desire to host the 2036 Olympics and the stadium to be built here will be ‘designed to empower the local youth.’
A media release from the ministry said, “In an important announcement, the Union Minister announced the establishment of a state-of-the-art sports stadium in Jashpur, Chhattisgarh designed to empower the local youth and provide them with the necessary training opportunities. Which will put India in a position to win a medal in the 2036 Olympics.” The announcement was made during the launch of the ‘Bhagwan Birsa Munda Mati Ke Veer’ padayatra which was organized on Wednesday and was attended by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai along with other ministers of the state.
Many sportspersons from tribal communities were also honored during the event, including cricketer Akanksha Rani, taekwondo athlete Prateek Bada and mountaineer Naina Dhakad. Mandaviya said that more than 1.5 crore youth have registered on ‘My Bharat Portal’.
The release said, “Highlighting the registration of more than 1.5 crore youth on the My Bharat portal, Dr. Mandaviya said that My Bharat aims to become a single window system for the youth so that they can fulfill their aspirations in sports, art or culture. By completing this, we can contribute towards building a developed India.”
