Bijapur. In Chhattisgarh’s Naxal-affected Bijapur district, Naxalites killed the brother of a head constable on suspicion of being a police informer. Police gave this information on Wednesday. Police officials said that Naxalites killed Sudru Karam with a sharp weapon in Timmenar village under Mirtur police station area of the district.
He said that last night a group of armed Naxalites reached Timmenar village and attacked Sudru Karam with a sharp weapon. Karam died on the spot in this incident. Police officials said that the Naxalites had accused Karam of being a police informer.
Officials said that when the incident was reported this morning, a police team was sent to the spot. Later, the police recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem. They said that a search operation has been started in the area to trace the attackers. Karam was the brother of Head Constable Sannu Karam posted in the neighboring Dantewada district. Police officials said that with this incident, Naxalites have killed three villagers in the last one week on suspicion of being police informers.
