Nitesh nominated for BWF Para Badminton ‘Player of the Year’ award

New Delhi. India’s Paralympic champion Kumar Nitesh has been nominated along with three other players for the Badminton World Federation’s (BWF) Male Para Badminton Player of the Year award. BWF gave this information on Monday.
29-year-old Nitesh, who won his first gold medal in the ‘SL3’ category at the Paris Paralympics (2024), is competing for the award along with two-time Paralympic gold medalist Cheh Lik Hou (SU5) of Malaysia, Daiki Kajiwara (WH2) of Japan and China KQ will compete with Jimbo (WH1).

Nitesh is also a two-time silver and one-time bronze medalist of the World Championships. In the women’s category, Li Feng Mei, Sarina Satomi, Liu Yu Tong and Lini Ratri Octila have been nominated for this award. The winners will be announced on December 9.
