He said that the police team pulled out all the villagers from the mud and took them to the nearest hospital, from where they were sent to Surajpur District Hospital.

Officials said that one person died during treatment in the hospital while others are being treated. He told that the police have registered a case and sent the body for post-mortem, the matter is being investigated. Police officials said that State Women and Child Development Minister Lakshmi Rajwade visited the hospital after the incident and met the families of the victims. The minister directed the doctors to provide better treatment to the injured.
