Parties believing in the preamble of the constitution are welcome in the ‘India’ alliance: Kharge

The Uncut

New Delhi. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said in a meeting of the leaders of the constituent parties of the ‘India’ alliance on Wednesday that all those parties are welcome in this alliance, who have unwavering faith in the preamble of the Constitution and are committed to its objectives of economic, social and political justice. He also said that the mandate of the Lok Sabha elections is against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but he will try his best to deny it.

In his address to the meeting, Kharge said, “I welcome all the partners of the ‘India’ alliance. We fought together, fought in coordination and fought with full strength. Congratulations to all of you.” He said, “The public opinion of the 18th Lok Sabha election is directly against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The election was fought on his name and face and the public has given a clear message to his leadership by not giving majority to the BJP.” According to the Congress President, for Narendra Modi personally, this is not only a political defeat, but also a moral defeat.

He claimed, “But, we all are aware of their habits. They will try their best to deny this mandate.” Kharge said, “We also send a message from here that the ‘India’ alliance welcomes all those political parties who have unwavering faith in the preamble of the Constitution of India and are committed to its objectives of economic, social and political justice.”

We will take appropriate steps at the appropriate time: ‘India’ alliance

After deliberating on the possibilities of government formation, leaders of the opposition ‘India’ alliance on Wednesday said they would take appropriate steps at the appropriate time to realise the desire of the people not to be ruled by a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government.

After the nearly two-hour meeting of the leaders of the ‘India’ alliance, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge told reporters in the presence of the leaders of this alliance that the current political situation was discussed in today’s meeting and many suggestions came up.
He also read a statement on behalf of the alliance.

Kharge said, “The constituents of the India alliance thank the people of India for the tremendous support our alliance has received. The people’s mandate has given a befitting reply to the BJP and its politics of hatred, corruption and deprivation.” He said, “This is a mandate to protect the Constitution of India, against inflation, unemployment and crony capitalism and to save democracy.” Kharge said that the ‘India’ alliance will continue to fight against the ‘fascist rule’ of the Modi-led BJP. He said, “We will take appropriate steps at the appropriate time to realize the people’s desire not to be ruled by the BJP government. It is our decision that we will fulfill whatever promise we have made to the people.”
