Party chief Mayawati expressed deep grief over the murder of BSP’s Tamil Nadu unit president

Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has expressed deep grief over the murder of party’s Tamil Nadu unit president K. Armstrong and said that she will go to Chennai on Sunday morning to pay tribute to him.

The BSP chief said in a series of posts on ‘X’ on Saturday, “The brutal murder of BSP’s Tamil Nadu unit president K. Armstrong outside his Chennai residence yesterday evening has sent shockwaves of grief and anger across the society.”

She said that the state government should immediately take strict and necessary action so that recurrence of such incidents can be prevented. Mayawati said, “Considering the seriousness of this extremely sad and worrying incident, I have a program to go to Chennai tomorrow morning to pay my tributes to Armstrong and meet the bereaved family and console them.”

She said she appealed to everyone to maintain peace. Armstrong (52) was murdered by a group of six people near her home on Friday.
