The Uncut

Singapore. Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Sunday said there are plans to open offices in various countries in the coming months to help foreign investors who intend to invest in India. He inaugurated the first such office of ‘Invest India’ – the national agency to promote investment in the country – in Singapore. This office will serve as a special point of contact for companies here wishing to invest. This move reflects India’s commitment to strengthen investment partnerships and make it easier for global investors to connect with India.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry said in a statement, “The Singapore office will serve as a special contact point for companies from the region wishing to invest in India, thereby promoting cooperation in various sectors.” On this occasion, Goyal said that Singapore is an important strategic partner for India and this office is a new chapter in India’s efforts to strengthen economic cooperation with Singapore and the wider ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) region. He said, “We are planning to open more ‘Invest India’ offices abroad in the coming months, with the aim of giving global investors unhindered access to India’s dynamic and growing economy.”
