Bijapur. The police has arrested a Naxalite accused of fatally attacking a security force soldier in the Naxal-affected Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh. Police officials gave this information on Thursday. Police officials said that Santosh Potam (18), the mastermind of firing on DRG assistant constable Deepak Durgam at the district headquarters on March 24, has been arrested by the security forces.

He told that on March 24, Naxalites had opened fire on Assistant Constable Deepak Durgam at Atal Awas in Bijapur police station area. Police officials said that when the police started investigating the case, they got information that the mastermind of the incident, Santosh Potam, lives in a boys hostel and works for the Naxalites.

He told that Potam had done 'Reiki' of Deepak and had informed about it to his sister and other Naxalites working in the Naxal organization. Police officials said that after collecting information about the constable, the 'Small Action Team' of Naxalites opened fire on the constable. Constable Deepak was injured in this incident. He is being treated. Officials said that other Maoists involved in the incident and people involved in their urban network will also be arrested as soon as possible.
