Mumbai. The preliminary postmortem report of Bollywood actress Malaika Arora’s stepfather Anil Mehta said he had suffered head injuries, police said on Thursday. Mehta (62) allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the sixth floor of the Ayesha Manor building in the posh Bandra area on Wednesday morning. He lived here with his wife. The postmortem of the body was conducted at a government hospital the same evening.
Initial reports suggested he died due to multiple injuries on his head, legs and hands, a police official said.
He said that the police is recording the statements of his family members and the witnesses who found Mehta soaked in blood in the building premises.
