Jashpurnagar 23 September 2024/ Under the good governance of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, people of remote areas are getting the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
Every person dreams of having a permanent house of his own, to fulfil which he works hard his whole life but for a financially weak person, building a permanent house of his own remains a dream. In such a situation, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is making their dreams come true.
The beneficiaries of the district have been benefited under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Of these, houses of a total of 10 thousand 706 beneficiaries have been constructed from December 2023 to 22 September 2024.
One such story is of Mrs. Karmi Bai, a beneficiary of Gram Panchayat Kardana (Chhataur) of Janpad Panchayat Manora of Jashpur district, who belongs to the special backward tribe Pahari Korwa, who is called the adopted son of the President. These tribes mostly lived in dense forests by making huts from trees, leaves and bark, which had the problem of leaking roofs and snakes and scorpions every year during the rainy season. Due to which it was a challenge for them to live. For them, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has proved to be a boon. With the meaningful efforts of the Chief Minister, the dreams of the special backward tribe Pahari Korwa are also being fulfilled. The beneficiary has thanked the Chief Minister for getting a permanent house.
