Amid the ongoing nationwide agitation against the alleged objectionable statement of Dasna temple chief priest Yeti Narasimhanand against Prophet Mohammed, people of the Muslim community on Tuesday demonstrated and blocked the service lane from Delhi to Ghaziabad at the ‘UP Gate’ here. . Yeti Narasimhanand, the chief priest of Ghaziabad’s Dasna temple, had allegedly made objectionable remarks against Prophet Mohammad during a program organized at Hindi Bhavan in Ghaziabad on September 29. Trans Hindon Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Nimish Patil said that the demonstration at UP Gate was organized by Haji Shakeel Saifi, President of ‘World Peace Harmony’ (WPC) organization. The protesters were trying to enter Ghaziabad border from Delhi when the police stopped them as they did not have any permission.

Police said that a case has been registered against 11 named people including Zakir Ali Saifi, Dilshad Ahmed, Shakeel Ansari (National Vice President of WPC) along with 60 unidentified people under section 223 of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) (disobedience to order issued by a public servant).
