Punjab: Six people injured in firecracker explosion while taking out a religious procession

Hoshiarpur: Six people were injured when firecrackers kept in a bag accidentally caught fire and exploded during a religious procession here in Punjab on Thursday. Police gave this information.
Police said that this incident took place in Prahlad Nagar area. Police said the blast was so powerful that nearby shops, windows and cars were damaged.

Police said some people were bursting crackers during the procession. Police said a bag containing firecrackers hanging from a man’s neck accidentally caught fire and exploded. Police said the injured were taken to a local hospital where four people were discharged after first aid.

Police said that in view of the critical condition of the two injured, Sharat and Pradeep Kumar, they have been referred to a private hospital. Police said that the matter is being investigated.
