Rahul and Akhilesh will blame EVMs for their defeat in elections: Amit Shah

The Uncut

Deoria/Maharajganj. Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday took a dig at the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Congress and said that these parties have decided to blame the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for their defeat in the Lok Sabha elections. Addressing a public meeting here in support of the party’s candidate Pankaj Chaudhary, Shah claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has already secured a majority in the first five phases of the elections.

He said, “The counting of votes is on June 4. On the afternoon of the 4th, both the princes (Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav) will hold a press conference and say that the EVMs were faulty and that is why we lost the elections.” The Home Minister also said, “On the 4th, they will blame the EVMs. Their tickets are booked for the 6th. They will go to Bangkok and Thailand.” Shah claimed, “In five phases, the BJP has crossed the 310-seat mark. Rahul Baba, your party will not be able to cross even the 40-seat mark and the Samajwadi Party will be confined to just four seats.” He also claimed, “The work of forming Modi ji’s government has been completed in the fifth phase. The seventh phase is going to cross 400.” Shah said that the opposition’s ‘Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance’ (IND) does not have any candidate for the post of Prime Minister and rotational Prime Ministers cannot work in India of 130 crore people.

He said, “Brothers and sisters, this is not a grocery store. This is a great India of 130 crore people. Can a rotational Prime Minister work?” The Home Minister asked the public, “This election is between those who build the Ram temple and those who shoot at Ram bhakts. Are you with Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji who built the temple or with those who shoot at Ram bhakts?” Accusing the Congress of doing politics based on lies, he said, “Congress alleges that Modi ji will end reservation. Modi ji has been the Prime Minister for 10 years, he has not touched reservation. If anyone has cut reservation, it is the Congress party.”

Shah said, “Congress gave reservation to Muslims in Karnataka, Telangana and Bengal, which was a part of Dalit and backward classes. I have come to give Modi’s guarantee. As long as there is even one BJP MP in the Parliament, no one will be able to touch the reservation of Dalits, tribals and backward classes. These people cut down the reservation of backward society for the politics of appeasement.” Targeting the opposition, Shah said that Congress leaders say that Pakistan has nuclear bombs but BJP people are not afraid of nuclear bombs.

He said, “Pakistan occupied Kashmir is and will remain a part of India and we will take it back.” Claiming that Prime Minister Modi has ended terrorism from the country, the Home Minister said, “Modi ji has freed the country from terrorism. Before that, Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh’s government was in power for 10 years. Terrorists used to enter from across the border, carry out bomb blasts and run away.” He said, “You made Modi ji the Prime Minister. There was an attack in Uri and Pulwama. India carried out surgical strikes and air strikes and killed the terrorists inside their homes. Since that day, Pakistan has not been able to do anything.”

He said, “The whole of Uttar Pradesh was surrounded by mafias and mosquitoes, but our Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has eliminated both mafias and mosquitoes. Uttar Pradesh is moving ahead under the leadership of Narendra Modi. We have to take it further. Uttar Pradesh has to be made number one in the country, so Narendra Modi’s hands have to be strengthened.” Shah alleged that the Sahara India scam took place during the previous Akhilesh Yadav government in Uttar Pradesh. The work of getting the money back to its victims was started by Prime Minister Modi. Till now, money has been returned to three and a half lakh people. In future, 85 thousand crore rupees will be returned to three and a half crore people.

Addressing the farmers, Shah said, “Today is the death anniversary of Chaudhary Charan Singh. Narendra Modi did the work of giving him Bharat Ratna and gave respect to all the farmers of Uttar Pradesh.” Referring to the sugar mills in the area, the Home Minister said that the opposition closed 30 sugar mills while the BJP government started 20 mills and built five new mills. Voting is to be held in Maharajganj and Deoria on June 1 in the seventh and final phase of the Lok Sabha elections.
