Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel attended the one-day 52nd Central General Convention of Chandranahu Kurmi Kshatriya Samaj at village Kanhera in Saja assembly constituency of Bemetara district on Saturday. Community leaders welcomed the Chief Minister by wearing a turban.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that the Kurmi society has been associated with agriculture since the beginning. Most of the people of the state are dependent on agriculture. Keeping this in mind, many schemes are being run by the government in the interest of the farmers. He said that our forefathers Dr. Khubchand Baghel, Chandulal Chandrakar and other forefathers had a dream to create Chhattisgarh state and improve the condition of Chhattisgarhi farmers, laborers, laborers, poor and backward classes. Employment opportunities were available in all sectors including education, health employment. The Government of Chhattisgarh is moving ahead by making the dreams of its forefathers come true.
Chief Minister Baghel further said that we have worked towards making the state strong and a strong state. Our main aim is the development of people of every class. First of all, the loan of the farmers was waived. Along with paddy, along with the purchase of maize, sugarcane at the support price, for the first time small grains Kodo, Kutki, Ragi were purchased at the support price. In the last four years, the number of farmers, production of paddy and area under crops have also increased in Chhattisgarh. The economic condition of the farmers is improving. He said that due to the justice schemes and the decisions taken in the interest of farmers, women, forest dwellers, youth, a big change is visible in the lives of the people. He said that it has been decided to purchase 20 quintals of paddy per acre in the coming paddy procurement season. With this, more positive improvement will be seen in the condition of the farmers of Chhattisgarh. State President of Chandranahun Kurmi Samaj and Mahasamund MLA Vinod Chandrakar, Bemetara MLA Ashish Chhabra, Pandariya MLA Smt. Mamta Chandrakar, Apex Bank President Baijnath Chandrakar and many public representatives and eminent citizens and social brothers were present in the program.
Chief Minister Baghel said in the program that he has met farmers from other states of the country. Farmers of other states also want that the farmers of all the states of the country should get benefits like the farmers of Chhattisgarh. He said that the government’s Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana is proving to be a milestone in the interest of farmers. Chhattisgarh model is being discussed all over the country. Vermi compost, natural paint is being prepared from cow dung. Women are being given employment through RIPA. New employment opportunities are being made available in various sectors like agriculture, forest produce etc. of the state. Today, students are being motivated to take admission in Swami Atmanand School by taking them out of private schools.
Chief Minister’s announcements-
Along with the announcement of opening of Swami Atmanand Excellent School in village Kanhera, Chief Minister Baghel also gave approval to the new branch of the District Central Cooperative Bank, Primary Health Center, fulfilling the years old demands of the farmers. Along with beautifying Maa Sheetla Talab, he also announced construction of roads for various access routes. Giving consent for the construction of social hostel on the demand of the community heads, asked the society to apply to the district administration duly for the land.
