On Friday, at Badal Academy in Asana, the officials of the Bastar district administration, while discussing with social media influencers from different parts of the country, asked for cooperation in establishing Bastar on the global tourism map through ‘The Bastar Madai’ concept. It is noteworthy that the Bastar Tourist Circuit Map and Theme Music of ‘The Bastar Madai’, prepared by the District Administration to promote the tourism sector in Bastar, have been released recently.
On the occasion, Collector Bastar Shri Vijay Dayaram K., while highlighting the qualities of Bastar, said that in view of the gap between various Puja rituals during Bastar Dussehra, which lasts for about 75 days, the administration has prepared the concept of ‘The Bastar Madai’ to make tourists aware of the natural beauty, historical and archaeological sites, adventure sites, cultural sites of Bastar along with Dussehra. Under this, tourists can get a good opportunity to visit and understand other places in Bastar. He said that in ‘The Bastar Madai’, water related tourist places of Bastar have been displayed in blue colour, forest related places in green colour, caves and archaeological sites in brown colour, tribal culture and Bastar’s Haat-Bazaar in yellow colour and spiritual power of Bastar, especially the revered goddess Maa Danteshwari and the historical Bastar Dussehra in red colour. Bastar Tourist Circuit Map has been provided with information about 42 tourist places in four colors and a brief description of the places along with route information and information about transport services like rail, air and road to reach Bastar district. Earlier people used to come to see the famous Dussehra, Chitrakote waterfall, Tirathgarh waterfall, Kutumsar cave of Bastar, but by changing this, an attempt is being made to show other beauty and cultural heritage of Bastar as well.

During this, social media influencers and youth from different parts of the country showed immense enthusiasm to see and understand the natural beauty, cultural heritage, historical and archaeological sites and tourist places of Bastar and said that they will participate fully in preserving the qualities of Bastar by touring the whole of Bastar in the next two years. On this occasion, the collector honored all the social media influencers and youth by presenting Dhurva Tuwal and told about Dhurva Tuwal that the people of the Dhurva tribe of Bastar present this garment to the guests who come to their house as a mark of respect. On this occasion, the splendor of the folk culture of Bastar was also seen in Badal Academy, in which the traditional folk artists mesmerized the audience by presenting attractive Dhurva folk dance and Dandari folk dance.
