New Delhi. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday expressed “deep sorrow” over the death of five soldiers in a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua. Meanwhile, Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane said that the death of five soldiers in the Kathua attack will be avenged and India will defeat the evil forces behind it. On Monday, heavily armed terrorists ambushed a patrol party in Badnota area of ​​Kathua, in which five soldiers were martyred and many were injured.

Rajnath wrote on the social media platform ‘X’, “I am deeply saddened by the death of our five brave soldiers in the terrorist attack in Badnota, Kathua (Jammu and Kashmir).” He said, “My deepest condolences to the bereaved families, the nation stands firmly with them in this difficult time. The anti-terrorism operation continues. Our soldiers are committed to maintaining peace and order in the area.” The Defense Minister said, “I pray for the speedy recovery of the soldiers injured in this cowardly terrorist attack.”

Defence Secretary Aramane also expressed “deep sorrow over the death of five brave soldiers” in the attack. He also expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families. Aramane said, “Their selfless service to the nation will always be remembered. Their sacrifice will be avenged and India will defeat the evil forces behind the attack.” A Defence Ministry spokesperson shared Aramane’s reaction on the social media platform ‘X’.
