Rajasthan: Heavy rain in many districts of the state including Jaipur

Jaipur: With the monsoon once again gaining strength in Rajasthan, heavy rains occurred in many districts including the capital Jaipur and this phase is likely to continue. According to the Jaipur Center of the India Meteorological Department, during the 24-hour period till 8:30 am on Monday, rain accompanied by thunder occurred at some places in western Rajasthan and at many places in eastern Rajasthan. During this period, heavy rain was recorded at some places in Alwar, Sikar, Ajmer and Nagaur districts and very heavy rain was recorded at some places in Jaipur district.

The maximum rainfall was recorded in Jaipur at 120.4 mm, Sanganer in Jaipur at 94 mm, Thanagazi in Alwar at 77 mm and Srimadhopur in Sikar and Nawan in Nagaur at 72 mm each. According to this, due to the effect of a new weather system, rainfall activities will increase in many parts of eastern Rajasthan and there is a strong possibility of heavy rainfall activities continuing for the next one week at some places. During this period, light to moderate rainfall is expected in some parts of Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions of western Rajasthan and heavy rainfall is expected at some places from September 2-3.
