His last journey will be taken out today from his native village Potiya Kala, District Durg. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has expressed grief over the death of senior artist Shivkumar Deepak. Shivkumar Deepak left a great impression with his acting
Artist Shivkumar Deepak was almost 90 years old but his acting was in his breath. His every step was dedicated to acting. Shivkumar started his acting career in Chhattisgarhi cinema with the film ‘Kahi Debe Sandesh’ and he also acted in Ghar Dwar.

Both these films are considered milestones in the history of Chhattisgarh. Shivkumar Deepak Chandaini was known for his acting in films ranging from Gonda to Chhattisgarhi films. He mostly played female characters in plays and films. He acted in a way that even a female artist could not.
