Due to landslides and floods, 114 roads have been closed in the state. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert that heavy rains will continue in the state till August 7. Rescue operations are being carried out across Himachal.

The State Emergency Operations Center said that 36 roads have been closed in Mandi due to danger and adverse conditions. 34 roads in Kullu, 27 roads in Shimla, 8 roads in Lahaul-Spiti, 7 roads in Kangra and two roads in Kinnaur district are closed. Himachal State Road Transport Corporation said that bus service has been suspended on 82 routes.

It’s raining continuously

It is raining continuously in many parts of Himachal Pradesh. On Friday evening, Jogindernagar received the highest rainfall of 85 mm. While Gohar received 80 mm, Shilaru received 76.4 mm, Paonta Sahib received 67.2 mm, Palampur received 57.2 mm, Dharamshala received 56.2 mm and Chaupal received 52 mm of rain.

Loss of Rs 655 crore

More than 77 deaths have occurred in the state between July 27 and August 1. According to officials, the loss during this period is estimated to be Rs 655 crore.

Rescue teams are searching for 45 missing people

Cloudburst in Nirmand, Sainj and Malana of Kullu caused flooding in many areas. At least 8 people died due to cloudburst. 45 people missing after cloudburst. Their search resumed on Saturday morning. 410 rescue workers from Indian Army, NDRF, SDRF, ITBP, CISF, Himachal Police and Home Guard teams are engaged in the search operation with the help of drones.
