Sukma. In the Naxal-affected Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, security forces have demolished the temporary camp of Naxalites during the encounter and recovered a huge amount of goods and explosives. Police officials gave this information on Thursday. Police officials said that an encounter took place between security forces and Naxalites on the banks of Chintavagu river under Chintagufa police station area of the district.
He said that on Wednesday a joint team of security forces was sent towards Botalanka, Eranpally and surrounding areas for anti-Naxal operation. The team includes the District Force, District Reserve Guard (DRG), Bastar Fighter and Cobra Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Officials said that during the operation, intermittent encounters took place with members of People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA) battalion of Naxalites from this morning on the banks of Chintavagu river.
He said that the security forces have destroyed the temporary camp of Naxalites at the encounter site and have recovered a huge amount of material and explosives kept by the Naxalites. Police officials said that the search operation is going on in the area. All the security forces personnel are safe. More information in this regard is awaited. Earlier on September 24, security forces had killed two Naxalites in an encounter in the forest on the banks of Chintavagu river in the district.
