The Uncut

Sukma. Four Naxalites including a female Naxalite surrendered in Chhattisgarh’s Naxal-affected Sukma district. Police officials gave this information on Thursday. Police officials said that four Naxalites Dirdo Hidma (39), female Naxalite Sodi Some (30), Podiyam Hunga (25) and Muchaki Deva (55) surrendered before the security forces. They said that there is a reward of one lakh rupees on Naxalite Dirdo Hidma.

Police officials said that the Naxalites decided to surrender after being influenced by the Chhattisgarh government’s ‘Niyad Nella Nar’ (Your Good Village) scheme and being fed up with discrimination by outside Naxalites. They said that the surrendered Naxalites were accused of attacking police teams, blocking roads and putting up Naxal pamphlets. Officials said that the surrendered Naxalites will be provided financial assistance and other facilities under the Chhattisgarh government’s rehabilitation policy.
