Sukma. Security forces have arrested two Naxal aides in Chhattisgarh’s Naxal-affected Sukma district and recovered explosives and other items from their possession. Police officials gave this information on Thursday. Police officials said that security forces arrested two Naxal aides Mantosh Mandal (28) and S. Nagarjun (30) on Wednesday.
He said that under the ongoing anti-Naxal operation in Sukma, information is being collected to destroy the supply network of the Naxalites. During this, after receiving information about the urban supply network of the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA) battalion of the Naxalites, security forces were sent towards Patnampara on Wednesday. Officials said that during the operation, the security forces surrounded a house and caught two people.
He said that two kilograms of urea powder, two cans of potassium nitrate, three cans of explosive powder, a tiffin bomb, two detonators, laptop and other items were recovered from the possession of the Naxalite associates. Officials said that during interrogation, both of them informed the police that they have been involved in supplying gunpowder, explosive material, detonators, walkie-talkies and ration material to the PLGA since 2020. PLGA is the armed wing of the Communist Party of India (Maoist).
