Chenani. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while addressing a rally here on Wednesday, said that terrorism has been buried and now it will not be allowed to return. Shah promised to make Jammu and Kashmir terrorism-free if the BJP government is formed and alleged that the National Conference-Congress alliance will implement Pakistan’s agenda if it comes to power. Shah, who is leading the BJP’s election campaign, said that assembly elections are being held in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir without Article 370. Shah said in his address that the Narendra Modi-led government fulfilled the dream of Jan Sangh founder Shyama Prasad Mukherjee by repealing Article 370 in August 2019.
“I ask you whether (Parliament attack convict) Afzal Guru should have been hanged or not? NC-Congress are now saying he should not have been hanged…” he said at a rally in Chenani in Udhampur. “They want to release stone-pelters and terrorists. Omar Abdullah has stopped dreaming because you cannot do that. This is the job of courts and we have implemented such laws that now no one will dare to throw stones,” Shah said. Shah will address five rallies in Udhampur, Kathua and Jammu districts today. Voting for the third and final phase of the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections will be held on October 1.
