The command of sports associations will have to be handed over to players instead of leaders: Rahul

The Uncut

New Delhi. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi said on Wednesday that unless the command of sports associations is handed over to players instead of politicians, India cannot achieve its true potential. He shared a video of his meeting with a group of players on the social media platform ‘X’.

The former Congress President said, “No money, no game, this is the reality of most athletes in India today. “Meeted a group of players from Haryana and across the country and heard their problems.” According to him, completely disappointed with the system, struggling with lack of basic facilities like food, rest and training, these youth are also losing hope and confidence, which is a big loss for India.

Rahul Gandhi emphasized, “Unless we bring in a system to directly support the players, and do not give responsibility to the players instead of leaders in sports associations, India cannot achieve its true potential.” He said that India has immense talent and only transparency, fairness and every necessary facility will ensure equal benefits to every promising player.
