Ranchi: The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-led government will on Friday launch the fourth phase of its mass contact programme aimed at taking welfare schemes to the doorsteps of people, an official said.
The ‘Aapki Yojana, Aapki Sarkar, Aapke Dwar’ program will continue till September 15. Chief Minister Hemant Soren posted on the social media platform ‘X’ and said, “Your government is reaching your door for the fourth time to give you the benefits of schemes.”
The Chief Minister urged people to avail the benefits of the schemes from the camps being organised in their respective areas. Soren had first launched the programme on November 15, 2021 by organising camps for beneficiaries at the panchayat level.
The initiative aims to settle applications related to welfare schemes on the spot, so that the villagers can start getting benefits as soon as possible. A total of 6,867 camps were organised in the state in 2021 and about 35.95 lakh applications were received.
Similarly, 5,696 camps were organised in 2022 and around 55.44 lakh applications were received. In the third phase, a total of 5,496 camps were organised in 2023 and around 58.26 lakh applications were received. An official said that out of the total applications received in the three phases, around 1.49 crore applications have been settled.
The aim of the program is to ensure that no eligible person is deprived of the benefits. This includes applications for schemes like Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana, Abua Swasthya Suraksha Yojana, Abua Awas Yojana, Universal Pension Scheme, Mukhyamantri Pashudhan Vikas Yojana and Kisan Credit Card (KCC).
